Real Madrid CF, Atlético Madrid and FC Barcelona, the three Liga BBVA representatives who are still in the 2014-15 UEFA Champions League, now know who they will meet in the second round after the draw on Monday at UEFA's House of European Football in Nyon (Switzerland).
Real Madrid, the defending champions, breezed through their Group B matches to top the group, giving them the advantage of facing a second-place team. In this case it is German team FC Schalke 04 in a rematch of the game they played in the same round last year. (25/02 - 17/03).
Atlético de Madrid, last year's runners-up and Group A winners ahead of Juventus, have grown in the completion as they bid to win their first title. Their next step will be trying to overcome Bayer 04 Leverkusen in the second round. (18/02 - 10/03).
FC Barcelona, after winning their last match 3-1 against Paris Saint-Germain, also finished first in the group stage and will now face Manchester City FC for a place in the quarters. The Azulgranas' road to Berlin continues against an opponent they beat in the 2013-14 competition. (24/02 - 18/03).
The seeds and group winners will play the first leg away from home on 17/18 and 24/25 February. The return games will be played on 10/11 and 17/18 March.
