The Spanish national team will be in the UEFA EURO 2016. The selection led by Vicente del Bosque certified their place in the great European event after beating Luxembourg 4-0 in the penultimate qualifying match of Group C, held at the Stadium Municipal Las Gaunas at Logrono.

The Spanish team was clearly in charge of the game in the first half, although David Silva and Alvaro Morata had to withdraw from the field due to injury. Spain managed to overcome adversity and, after much insistence, ended up finding its reward before the break. It was in the 42nd minute when Santi Cazorla managed to open the scoring after taking a rejection of goalkeeper Jonathan Joubert after a close-up shot from Pedro Rodriguez.
After the break, the Spanish team continued to press the rival goal in search of a new goal to have the qualifying much closer. And so it was, thanks to a new goal from Paco Alcácer in the 67th minute. The goal came after an excellent pass from Cesc Fabregas to the run of the Valencia CF striker, who masterfully finished in front of the goalkeeper. In the 80th minute, Alcácer himself made it 3-0 thanks to an assist by Jordi Alba and, five minutes later, Cazorla put the finishing touch to the match with the final 4-0.
