Sevilla CF and Elche meet on matchday 27 of the Liga BBVA, in an encounter with the same objective for both sides: picking up all three points. Nothing less will do for Unai Emery’s team, who remain in the thick of the fight for a place in next season’s UEFA Champions League. Meanwhile, Fran Escribá’s men will also be after victory to continue their good run of just one defeat in their last five league games. Elche have never beaten Sevilla, meaning that a double challenge faces los ilicitanos, who will look to move away from danger.

Team news
Emery will be without Beto, Vitolo and Uruguayan midfielder Sebastián Cristóforo for the clash. Vicente Iborra is available after having his yellow card against RC Deportivo rescinded by the Competition Committee. For Elche, Escribá is unable to call on the suspended Adrián González, or injury victims Sergio Pelegrín and Aarón Ñíguez.

Views from the dugout
In his pre-match press conference, Emery noted that despite beating Villarreal CF on Thursday, his team must now focus "only on Elche". The Andalusians’ coach added: "We have to carry on in the same vein that has made us a solid, strong team at our stadium". The visitors’ boss, meanwhile, declared that his side will have chances provided they "push as hard as possible" to "get the better of Sevilla on dead balls, in the air, or in attacking moves."
