Sergio Araujo's 2014/15 season in the Liga Adelante with UD Las Palmas
• 'El Chino', as he is commonly known in Gran Canaria, won over the fans during his first season of Liga Adelante football by scoring a hatful times. He spent a brief period with Argentine side Tigre after failing to make much of an impression at FC Barcelona B, but his return to Spain could not have gone any better. Araujo hit the back of the net 24 times during the Liga Adelante season, which contributed to Las Palmas reaching the playoffs for a place in next year's Liga BBVA.
• Araujo finished third in the Liga Adelante's list of top scorers after recording 0.56 goals per game on average. His exploits in front of goal were only bettered by Rubén Castro and Borja Bastón, the other two forwards making up the 2014/15 Ideal XI's attacking trio.
• Just like Borja Bastón and Rubén Castro, the Argentine striker also showed that he has a great understanding of his team-mates, for whom he provided seven assists over the course of the season and, of the three marksman, he registered the second highest number of passes (810) and the second most shots on goal (102).
