Hat-trick by Sanabria
In the 17th minute, Sanabria opened the score. Jony shot, Javi Varas knocked on the ball and Sanabria took advantage to put it at the back of the net. Ten minutes before the end, the Sanabria-Jony duo appeared again. The second crossed and the other headed to score the 2-1. But there was still the final act. Seven minutes of play left, Jony, once again, crossed and Sanabriar scored the third and final goal.
UD Las Palmas reaction
After the initial goal, the Canary team recomposed and searched for a goal. Meanwhile, Sporting tried to take their chances through fast counter-attacks. El Zhar touched a cross by Garrido from the left wing to score the equalizer.
Las Palmas, 15 minutes down to 10
In the 71st minute Aythami saw his second yellow card in the game. The UD Las Palmas player left his team one man down. His eviction was a turning point in the match. Sporting made the most of Las Palmas’ defensive disorder to sentence the clash.
Parity, common denominator
Sporting started better, but UD Las Palmas reacted. Both teams took part in an entertaining and disputed game. Each had clear chances of scoring. However, the scales tipped towards the local team’s side in the last few minutes.
The Canary team is still unsuccessful far from their Stadium
The team managed by Quique Setien has two victories after 14 fixtures. Both at home. Against Sevilla and Real Sociedad. UD Las Palmas couldn’t get their first away victory.
