Team News:

Sevilla FC: MichaelKrohn-Dehli, Nico Pareja, Carlos Fernandez and Benoit Tremoulinas (all injured); Gabriel Mercado (suspended)

FC Barcelona: Jeremy Mathieu, Jordi Alba, Gerard Pique, Andres Iniesta and Aleix Vidal (all injured)

Match Facts:

Sevilla (4th, 21 pts)

- The Andalusians have really found their groove under Jorge Sampaoli and after toppling Atletico Madrid two matchdays ago, they are now intent on claiming another marquee victory against second-placed Barcelona, who are just a point ahead of them.

- The last time these two teams met was in the Spanish Super Cup (Supercopa), with the Catalans lifting the trophy by triumphing in both legs (2-0 away and 3-0 at the Camp Nou). Sevilla are now seeking revenge and to keep up their perfect home record in the league this term.

Barcelona (2nd, 22 pts)

- Lionel Messi will be particularly looking forward to this fixture. The Argentine has scored more goals against Sevilla than against any other team, having struck a staggering 26 times against the Andalusians in all competitions.

- Luis Enrique's men will certainly not be guilty of complacency despite a run of three straight victories in LaLiga Santander. After all, they only narrowly got the job done against Granada CF last time out, were blown away by Manchester City FC in the Champions League in midweek and lost on their last league visit to the Sanchez-Pizjuan, a result that ended an eight-game unbeaten run consisting of five wins and three draws.
