A win away to Reus extended the table-toppers' lead at the summit on a matchday when Getafe and R. Valladolid also boosted their respective promotion pushes.

Cadiz CF 1-0 SD Huesca
Cadiz strung together their second LaLiga 1|2|3 win on the bounce by beating Huesca 1-0 at the Ramon de Carranza. A headed goal by Alfredo Ortuño in the 53rd minute of play was enough to give the three points to Alvaro Cervera's charges. The victory keeps them in mid-table, whilst Huesca miss out on a chance to close in on the promotion places.

R. Valladolid CF 2-0 Sevilla Atlético
An impressive R. Valladolid put an end to Sevilla Atletico's four-game winning run in LaLiga 1|2|3. After a goalless first half at the Jose Zorrilla, Juan Villar netted the opener 55 minutes in, and Joan Jordan went on to seal the deal and put Paco Herrera's side in the thick of the battle for promotion to LaLiga Santander. The Andalusians, meanwhile, cede second place in the table.

Rayo Vallecano 0-1 UCAM Murcia CF
After six games without a victory, UCAM notched up a massive 1-0 away win in Vallecas thanks to Jesus Imaz's strike in stoppage time. The home team dominated in the first half and, although the second was more evenly matched, the game looked to be heading for a scoreless stalemate. However, Imaz had other ideas and his powerful 94th-minute strike handed UCAM three golden points to distance themselves from the drop zone. Rayo, meanwhile, lost their second consecutive game for the first time this season.

Girona FC 1-1 CD Tenerife
It ended honours even at Montilivi, a result that neither harms either side's ambitions nor does them any real favours. The islanders, who were looking to pull away from the lower reaches of the table, went ahead through Amath's curled finish after just two minutes. However, Jonas Ramalho nodded home from a free-kick in the 11th minute to earn a point for Girona, who are part of the chasing pack in the playoff picture.

RCD Mallorca 2-2 R. Zaragoza
The spoils were deservedly shared at the end of a rip-roaring clash between two historic LaLiga outfits. Juan Muñoz and Jose Enrique twice put the visitors in front, but Juan Culio and Dejan Lekic struck back for Mallorca. Muñoz's goal, an extraordinary chip from his own half, was the pick of the bunch.

CF Reus 0-1 Levante UD

Roger's 10th LaLiga 1|2|3 strike of the campaign was enough for Levante to triumph away to fellow high-flyers Reus and make it eight consecutive games unbeaten for the league leaders. Juan Ramon Lopez Muñiz's men are now 10 points clear at the top and look well on course to return to LaLiga Santander at the first time of asking. The hosts, for their part, drop to fourth.

CD Mirandes 0-1 Nastic

Nastic finally clinched their first victory of the season, a long-awaited result which they will be hoping kick-starts a climb up the table. Although the Catalans continue to prop up the standings, they are now on 10 points and the relegation battle is now substantially more closely bunched up. Juan Muñiz got the only goal of a tight encounter.

CD Numancia 2-2 Elche CF

Despite racing into a two-goal lead after 11 minutes through a Pablo Valcarce brace, Numancia were denied a return to winning ways, although they did collect their first point in three weeks. Efforts from Nino and Jose Angel early in the second half earned Elche their share of the spoils.

UD Almeria 3-1 Cordoba CF

Almeria secured their second successive home win as they eased to victory over Cordoba. Fidel set the hosts on their way on 14 minutes, before strikes from Quique and Fran Velez handed Almeria a three-goal advantage. An Angel Trujillo own goal cut the arrears and gave the visitors a glimmer of hope, but they ultimately failed to stage a second-half comeback. Despite this reverse, Jose Luis Oltra's side remain firmly in the playoff hunt.

Getafe CF 1-0 AD Alcorcon

A towering Juan Cala header in the 63rd minute gained Los Azulones all three points against local rivals Alcorcon. Following a sequence of three straight draws, Getafe got back to winning ways with a victory which propels them up to 10th. Since Jose Bordalas has taken over the reins, Getafe are yet to taste defeat. In contrast, Alcorcon are struggling to put any sort of form together and have slid to second bottom.

R. Oviedo 1-1 CD Lugo

The in-form Asturians extended their unbeaten run to seven games after holding Lugo to a draw, a result which serves to keep both sides in the upper echelons of the table. Fernando Seoane handed the Galicians an early lead and the visitors looked on course to claim maximum points, until Hector Verdes struck a late equaliser to salvage a point for his side.
