Valencia CF forward Rodrigo has been named the LaLiga Santander Player of the Month for March. The Spain striker has been recognised for leading the line with such aplomb for Los Che last month, during which he netted four goals along the way.
The sharpshooter's first strike of the month was a 23rd-minute opener in Valencia's 2-0 victory at home to Real Betis. His brace subsequently fired Marcelino's side past Sevilla FC by the same scoreline at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan and he rounded out the month by breaking the deadlock in the 3-1 win over D. Alaves.
This season, LaLiga has added a new dimension to the awarding of the Player of the Month accolade, bringing fans closer to the action of the best league in the world. This will see Rodrigo collect the award in front of the Mestalla faithful this Wednesday, 18 April, before Valencia take on Getafe CF.
