Real Betis Balompié player Lorenzo Reyes had to have an emergency appendicitis operation on Sunday.
The 22-year-old Chilean player underwent keyhole surgery, and if everything goes to plan he could be out of hospital in 48 hours, according to a statement on the team from Seville's official website. Even so, Reyes is expected to be sidelined for at least one month. Therefore, the midfielder, who has started the three UEFA Europa League group-stage matches for Betis, could miss the remaining three clashes. On Thursday, Pepe Mel's team visit Vitória SC for their fourth Group I match.
