Sevilla FC downed SD Eibar 1-3 in matchday 34 of Liga BBVA. A Carlos Bacca double and a José Antonio Reyes strike moves their side up to fourth place, with Valencia – their closest rivals – still to play Rayo. The Basque side, meanwhile, remain in 16th.
The game could not have got off to a better start from Sevilla, who took the lead after just seven minutes. A precise ball from Reyes found Carlos Bacca on the edge of the box, and the Colombian fired in at the near post. Unai Emery's men were hungry for more, and they doubled their lead after 15 minutes. Bacca was again the scorer, tapping in following a Xabi Irureta save. Eibar fought back to lessen the deficit before the break, but the visitors held fir at the back.
The second half could not have started any differently, with the home side looking strong and pulling a goal back via Federico Piovaccari. With Eibar coming back into the game, the Andalusian outfit hit back. This time the roles were reversed from the side's first goal, with Bacca finding Reyes, who made it 1-3 to give Sevilla their 21st win in Liga BBVA this season.
