The start of the game showed a home side who were determined to get the win. In fact, the Andalusian side got their reward after 17 minutes. Early in the second half, the visitors pushed up looking for an equaliser. However, Recreativo managed to get a second when Ángel Montoro collected a rebound in the area to score past Nauzet Pérez. The visitors got their first goal when Marco Garcíá collected a cross at the back post and scored with a perfect finish past Dani Sotres. The Catalans believed they could get the draw, but in a counterattack, Antonio Núñez made a great individual run down the left wing that was finished off by Pedro Ríos to leave the end score at 3-1.
