Reigning champions Real Madrid begin their European endeavours against APOEL FC. The two teams faced each other in 2012, with Madrid coming out on top on both occasions (5-2 at home and 3-0 away). Benzema is the only injury for Los Blancos. Zhivko Milanov, George Efrem and Facundo Bertoglio are the three players who are unavailable to the Greek manager Giorgos Donis.
Sevilla, meanwhile, head to Anfield to take on Liverpool FC. The two teams will remember each other well from the 2016 Europa League final, in which the Spaniards claimed the trophy. Jurgen Klopp has his full squad available for selection, whilst Eduardo Berizzo will be without the injured Nolito.
