Rayo Vallecano parted company with coach Ruben Baraja after a poor run of form in recent weeks. Baraja took charge of the club to replace Jose Ramon Sandoval back in November.
The former Spain and Valencia midfielder leaves the side in 16th place in LaLiga 1l2l3 with seven wins, seven draws and 12 defeats this season. Rayo praised Baraja for his professionalism and wished him all the best for the future.
