Raphinha, EA SPORTS LALIGA Player of the Month for August

Raphinha has been named LALIGA EA SPORTS Player of the Month for August, an award presented by LALIGA. Recently named FC Barcelona’s first captain, the Blaugrana winger embodies the intensity and tenacity that Hansi Flick demands on the field: under his leadership, the team has achieved a perfect record in domestic competition (4 out of 4).

The Brazilian has had an incredible start to the league season: he made his debut against Elche with two goals and an assist, scored against Athletic Club, and sealed another two-goal performance against Rayo Vallecano to close out the month of August. In September, the Blaugrana winger added another goal to his tally against Valencia. In total: 6 goals and 1 assist so far this season.

The Barça player won this award after beating out Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid), Álex Baena (Atlético de Madrid), Aubameyang (Deportivo de La Coruña), and Nahuel Tenaglia (Deportivo Alavés) in the final vote.
