PUMA and LALIGA present the STELLAR NITRO™ BALL

 

PUMA today unveiled the official LALIGA match ball for the 2026/27 season: the STELLAR NITRO™ ULTIMATE, the most innovative and technologically advanced ball the brand has ever developed for some of the world’s most demanding and widely followed football competitions.

Each season, LALIGA continues to raise the level of the game with faster and more intense football. The STELLAR NITRO™ ball has been designed precisely to respond to that constant evolution: a ball created not only to adapt to the demands of modern football, but also to enhance them in every play.

Its NITROFOAM™ core, PUMA’s innovative nitrogen-infused foam, returns more energy upon impact, allowing touches, passes and shots to leave the foot with greater speed and responsiveness than ever before. It is also the official match ball of the Premier League and Serie A, becoming the trusted ball at the heart of three of the world’s biggest football competitions.

The engineering behind this responsiveness is reflected in every element of the design. A precise 4+4 panel construction balances airflow and reduces drag to deliver a more accurate and authentic flight every time a player strikes the ball, while a rougher, textured outer surface helps the ball cut through the air and maintain its speed and stability throughout its trajectory.

Visually, the STELLAR NITRO™ ball combines performance and personality with a modern and sophisticated aesthetic. Set against a clean white base, subtle graphic accents in shades such as fuchsia, turquoise and purple bring a fresh feel, while darker shapes with black as the dominant colour create depth, allowing the colours to contrast and stand out subtly in motion. The result is a design that is instantly recognisable on the pitch.
