The countdown to the LaLiga kick-off on 19 August is well and truly on. Indeed, the pre-season ball has been rolling for a couple of weeks now – most clubs have returned to training and a number have got their first action under their belts. Specifically, last week saw a total of 10 LaLiga sides get back down to business and contest their opening warm-up matches.
Sevilla FC are in the United States on their LaLiga World tour, as part of which they took on River Plate this past Saturday. This Tuesday brings their second game in Orlando, against Independiente Santa Fe.
Another team set to enjoy the LaLiga World experience are Malaga CF. Juande Ramos's men are headed to Germany to take part in the Aachen Cup. Their first fixture comes on Saturday against hosts Alemannia Aachen.
Meanwhile, Athletic Club, R. Sporting and SD Eibar are all primed to play their first games, which will serve as a touchstone against which to gauge their pre-season work so far.
