Paths cross in the Riazor

Liga BBVA matchday ten gets underway with RC Deportivo – Getafe CF, two teams who are having similar seasons and are separated by just two points in the table. The home side, after beating Valencia in their outing in front of their fans, have begun their climb up the table, while the Azulones put up a fight in their last match against Atlético Madrid, the Liga BBVA champions, even though they eventually lost.

The Galicians have Juan Domínguez back for the match, but their manager, Víctor Fernández, will have to make do without Manuel Pablo, Lucas Pérez and Diogo Salomão. As for Getafe, defender Carlos Vigaray is back in the fold, along with Míchel Herrero and Álvaro Arroyo, who have recovered from their injuries.

"It is a very important match for us: we would be capitalising on the draw in Barcelona and we need to win again. I'm convinced that the Riazor will be just as lively as it was against Valencia", stated Víctor Fernández.

For his part, Cosmin Contra, Getafe's manager, spoke of the spirit shown by his players on the pitch: "I'm very proud of the attitude my players showed in the last match. We have to maintain that standard. With that mentality, the team will win a lot of games".
