At. Osasuna and CE Sabadell drew 2-2 in matchday 42 of Liga Adelante, and it is a draw that allows the side from Navarre to secure their place in the division for another season. Enrique Martín’s men finish in 18th with 45 points, while Juan Carlos Mandiá’s outfit finish 21st with 41.

Early on Sabadell opened the scoring. Juan José Collantes picked up the ball within the area and beat Asier Riesgo with a right-footed effort. Osasuna, conscious of the situation, pushed on, but Sabadell would strike again 10 minutes later. The second goal was a hammer blow to Enrique Martín’s side, however they never gave up. Nino went close from inside the six yard box, but his effort was blocked by David de Navas, who was one of the star performers of the first half.

In the second period, the Rojillos continued pressing, however they were showing a lack of composure in front of goal. Mikel Merino was denied by De Navas, however 15 minutes from the end David García gave them hope as he headed home a corner to make it 2-1. Sabadell could have sewn things up in the dying moments but they hit the post, and Osasuna were somehow able to heroically salvage themselves. At the end of added time, Miguel Flaño drew them level through a corner. This goal was enough for Enrique Martín’s men to get the point the needed to retain their place in Liga Adelante.
