Official Statement from the LFP

The Liga de Fútbol Profesional would like to inform of the decisions and measures adopted in relation to the order issued by the Mercantile Court no 7 of Madrid that requires the registration of Real Murcia:

1st.­ The Clubs and PLCs of the Liga "Adelante" have been sent a report regarding the consequences of such order. In said document, the LFP expresses its answers to the decisions taken by any Judicial Body, and informs of the presentation of a statement of opposition before the Mercantile Court no 7 of Madrid against the order handed down by the same court.

Given the urgency and speed being applied in the process by said court, this association is confident that over the next ten days they will be convened to the mandatory hearing, as is stated by the Law of Civil Procedure relating to such.

2nd.­ The LFP Executive Committee has been summoned for Monday 18 August at 10:30 to analyse the order which requires the registration of Real Murcia, and to study the resolution of the Sporting Administrative Court (TAD), which has today dismissed the preventative suspension requested by Real Murcia with regards to the disciplinary action, which sanctioned them with relegation and a fine.

3rd.­ Also, on Monday 18 August at 12:00, the board of the Second Division has been called to analyse the necessary agreements that have been adopted by the Executive Committee once the order has been studied, the opposition of the LFP itself and the TAD's resolution.

4th.- In the case of having to define a new Liga "Adelante" calendar, it must also be agreed with the Spanish Footballers' Association (AFE), conforming to the Collective Agreement that was recently signed.

5th.­ In the case of modifying the number of sides participating in the Liga "Adelante", said modification must be in accordance with the RFEF, conforming to the established Statutes of the Royal Federation.

6th.­ As such, with the arguments expressed and the timelines to which we are obliged to comply, the decision to suspend the start of the National Championship Second Division - Liga "Adelante" - has been taken, and in accordance with the established Statutes and Federative Rules, the RFEF has been informed.

7th.­ LFP president Javier Tebas will host a press conference following the meeting of the Second Division's Board on Monday 18 August. An invitation will be sent to the media.
