Official Statement

1 October 2017 – In light of the reports in recent hours concerning the possible postponement of the LaLiga Santander Matchday 7 fixture between FC Barcelona and UD Las Palmas, LaLiga can confirm that it has been in constant contact with FC Barcelona's security services and the Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalan police) for several days.

In these discussions with LaLiga, FC Barcelona's security department and the Mossos guaranteed the safety of all fans attending the match in question and that the game could go ahead as normal.  

LaLiga would like to stress that the Mossos reiterated these security guarantees today, meaning that there was no reason for the match to be postponed.
