Written denouncements that the LFP will send to the Professional Competition Committee.

Denuncias

TUE 19.05.2015

Under the rules of the Real Federación Española de Fútbol, la Liga de Fútbol Profesional will every Tuesday send a letter denouncing the shouting of chants that incite violence, racism, xenophobia and intolerance in sport to the Professional Competition Committee, given that such actions are contrary to the judicial regimen put forward in the RFEF’s Disciplinary Code.

This letter of denouncement will be sent each Thursday to the Antiviolence Commission. We also underline that the LFP has set up a mailbox to which fans attending matches can send their complaints, suggests or requests with the purpose of contributing to the fight against violence in stadiums. The email address is: viveelfutbol@laliga.es

  1. LIGA ADELANTE

Real Betis Balompié - CD Lugo

In the 3’ minute of the game, a group of home fans made up of approximately 1,000 people, located in the GOL FONDO SUR stand where the group of home supporters known as “SUPPORTERS GOL SUR” are located, behind the banner “GOL SUR MIKI ROQUÉ 26”, the following chant was struck up: “EL EQUIPO BASTARDO Y PENOSO, EL EQUIPO DE LAS PUTAS DEL PIZJUÁN”. The abovementioned chant was sung collectively and in a coordinated manner, solely by the aforementioned group, without being followed or sung together by the other fans in the stadium, who behaved in an entirely correct manner throughout the game.

With regard to violence prevention measures adopted by the Club, the following can be mentioned: (i) As has become common practice among home clubs over the last few games, thorough inspections were carried out on different supporters material in order to confiscate and put into storage, any scarves or flags displaying offensive slogans; (ii) likewise, in the lead up to the game a manifesto was read via loudspeaker encouraging good conduct in sport and condemning violent behaviour in football. The message was accompanied by an image on the video screen where the following could be read: “FANS + RESPECT: LIVE FOOTBALL”. Also, a video starring several players from the home squad was shown on social networks and on the club’s official website in the days leading up to the game.

Also, the club reacted quickly to the chant heard in the 3’ minute and issued the following message via the loudspeaker: “WE WOULD REQUEST THAT THE PUBLIC REFRAIN FROM SINGING INSULTING CHANTS” in the 8’ minute.
