Denuncias

TUE 10.03.2015

Under the rules of the Real Federación Española de Fútbol, la Liga de Fútbol Profesional will every Tuesday send a letter denouncing the shouting of chants that incite violence, racism, xenophobia and intolerance in sport to the Professional Competition Committee, given that such actions are contrary to the judicial regimen put forward in the RFEF’s Disciplinary Code. This letter of denouncement will be sent each Thursday to the Antiviolence Commission.

We also underline that the LFP has set up a mailbox to which fans attending matches can send their complaints, suggests or requests with the purpose of contributing to the fight against violence in stadiums. The email address is: viveelfutbol@laliga.es.

1. LIGA BBVA

RCD. de La Coruña - Sevilla FC

During the course of the match, there was a series of chants shouted mainly by two sets of supporters located on opposite ends of the stadium from each other, with each group being identified as home and away fans:

a) The group of home supporters, consisting of approximately 1000 people located in the "Marathon Inferior" stand and known as "RIAZOR BLUES", identifiable by the banners and flags under their section of the stadium, and wearing different items associated with this group such as scarves, t-shirts, banners and flags bearing the colours and the crest of the home team, RC Deportivo de La Coruña SAD.

b) The group of the away team's supporters, made up of approximately 500 people, identifiable through different symbols such as scarves, t-shirts, banners and flags bearing the colours and the crest of the away side, Sevilla FC SAD, located in the upper tier of the curve between the main stand and the "Fondo Pabellón", an area reserved for away fans in the Estadio de Riazor, in which a large group of about 150 supporters belonging to the away team known as "BIRIS NORTE", as identified through various banners and flags, was located.

The aforementioned chants and expressions are detailed in chronological order below:

1) In minute 30 of the game, a group of the home team's supporters, made up of about 1000 people, located in the stadium's “Marathon Inferior” stand and known as "RIAZOR BLUES", as identified by the banners and flags hanging below their section, began to sing the following chant in reference to Atlético de Madrid, using the club's official anthem: "ATLETI, ATLETI, ATLÉTICO DE MADRID, MIERDA". This chant was almost immediately picked up by a group of approximately 150 away supporters identifiable by the symbols aligning them to the group known as "BIRIS NORTE". This chant was carried out collectively, in a coordinated and repetitive manner, without being picked up or repeated by the rest of the fans in the stadium, whose behaviour was entirely appropriate throughout the game.

2) In minute 44 of the game, a group of approximately 150 away supporters, identifiable by the symbols associating them with the group known as "BIRIS NORTE", began to chant "BÉTICO Y VIGUÉS LA MISMA MIERDA ES!", an expression that was repeated in unison and coordinated exclusively by the aforementioned group.

3) In minute 67 of the game, a group of approximately 150 away supporters, identifiable by the symbols associating them with the group known as "BIRIS NORTE", began a chant of "PUTA BETIS OÉ!", an expression that was repeated in unison and coordinated exclusively by the aforementioned group.

4) In minute 80 of the game, a group of approximately 150 away supporters, identifiable by the symbols associating them with the group known as "BIRIS NORTE", began a chant of “VIGO NO, VIGO NO, VIGO NO; VIGO NO, VIGO NO, VIGO NO; VIGO NO, VIGO NO, VIGO NO; HIJOS DE PUTA!; VIGO NO!”. This chant was almost immediately picked up by a group of approximately 1000 home supporters, located in the stadium's "Marathon Inferior" stand, known as "RIAZOR BLUES", as identified by the banners and flags hanging below their section. The chant was carried out collectively, in a coordinated and repetitive manner, without being picked up or repeated by the rest of the fans in the stadium, whose behaviour was entirely appropriate throughout the game.

It must be said that a large number of the "RIAZOR BLUES" and "BIRIS NORTE" supporters spent the majority of the game standing on their seats.

Finally, it must be pointed out that before the game started searches were carried out at the entrances to the stadium to prevent potentially dangerous objects being thrown or signage brandishing offensive and insulting slogans making its way into the ground. This control measure was carried out by the home team's private security agents along with CNP officers, who reinforced these searches especially in the entrances belonging to the away supporters (mainly gate number 20) and the home supporters (gates leading into the Marathon stand, where supporters of the "Riazor Blues" and other fans of the home team enter the stadium).
