15 September 2017. The following link details the squad spending limits allocated to the clubs and public limited sports companies (SADs) for the 2017/18 season.
This squad spending limit denotes the maximum amount that each club/SAD can spend during the course of the 2017/18 season, including spending on the first team in relation to players, the manager, assistant manager and fitness coach (registrable squad, as defined in Art. 38 of the Budget Preparation Rules) and spending on the reserves, the youth system and other areas (non-registrable squad, as defined in Art. 38 of the Budget Preparation Rules).
The items included in the registrable and non-registrable squad spending limit are: fixed and variable wages, social security contributions, collective bonuses, acquisition costs (including commissions for agents) and amortisations (player transfer fees allocated annually based on the number of years that the player is under contract).
Furthermore, it is important to note that clubs/SADs are not required to spend up to this limit.
** Note:The amounts allocated to FC Barcelona and Sevilla FC which appear in the LaLiga Santander table include the maximum squad limit to be used by FC Barcelona B and Sevilla Atletico in the 2017/18 season, amounting to €18.008 million and €8.8 million respectively.
