Valencia CF continue to cement their long-term plans. The Los Che website has announced the contract extension of the club's manager, Nuno Espírito Santo, until the 2017/2018 season.
"The projects continue to produce great successes. My obligation and my role within the project is to prepare and strengthen my players on a daily basis. Make them grow so that the project continues to grow. We have to qualify for next year’s Champions League, that is where we deserve to be as a club", declared the Portuguese coach after finding out about his contract renewal.
Since arriving at Valencia, Nuno has recorded 10 wins, 5 draws and 3 defeats during the first three months of competition, a run that sees the team occupy fifth place and remain in the fight for one of next season’s European spots. In fact, Nuno's Valencia side has exceeded the Mestalla team's numbers over the last two seasons, with the club having failed to reach thirty points at this stage of the campaign during that period.
