RC Celta and Levante UD kicked off the ninth round of Liga BBVA this weekend with the Galician outfit winning 3-0 to rack up their fourth win of the campaign.
The home side started off the stronger against a compact Levante side that left very few spaces. Eventually there were a few gaps, with youngster Santi Mina causing trouble, and it was he who he set up Joaquín Larrivey to find the back of the net from inside the box. From this moment on, Eduardo 'Toto' Berizzo’s men looked more comfortable.
Levante came out from the break looking more alive, and they were more intense than in the first half. Lucas Alvarez, making his debut on the sideline for the Valencian outfit, pushed his men forwards against Celta, looking for balls in behind the defence. Shortly after, Andreas Ivanschitz hit the bar, but it would be Larrivey who would score next, making it 2-0. Just before the final whistle Álex López rounded off the scoring and it finished 3-0.
