Team News:

CA Osasuna: Miguel Flaño, Javier Flaño, Didier Digard and Jaime Romero (all injured)

Valencia CF: Ezequiel Garay and Nani (both injured); Joao Cancelo (suspended); Aymen Abdennour (Africa Cup of Nations duty)

Match Facts:

Osasuna (20th, 7 pts)

- The Pamplona outfit get their 2017 programme underway with a new coach in place. Petar Vasiljevic has replaced Joaquin Caparros in the El Sadar dugout and will be hoping to kick-start his reign by ending the club's eight-match winless run.

- The heat is very much on the basement boys, who have got to get wins on the board sooner rather than later to avoid getting cut adrift at the bottom of the table. It is all still to play for as they look to climb towards safety.

Valencia (17th, 12 pts)

- Los Che also head into this one gunning to pick up a much-needed victory, having dropped to the brink of the relegation zone after going seven league games without winning.

- "All I care about is the team competing in Pamplona. I know that we'll put up a fight despite our difficulties – the players know that only results can change things," coach Voro told reporters at his pre-match press conference.
