With training over, the new member of the Valencia CF training staff, Phil Neville, has shown his excitement with the new project in which he is now part of. The Ex-Manchester United FC player has it clear that Valencia "is the ideal place" to grow, for the youth, the desire of the team and the fact that “LaLiga is, probably, the best in the world".
Neville, who next season will live Liga BBVA from the Valencia bench, knows of the importance that the LFP World Challenge Tour has for the team and for Spanish football. "When you grow as a club, you need to increase the number of fans. This is why the best is to travel and play games abroad", he explains.
LaLiga and UEFA Champions League are the two greatest challenges for a trainer. "We have to try ourselves and not be afraid, because we can play at the highest level. Last year we finished 4th in Liga BBVA, and we are going to demonstrate that it’s possible to repeat this season", he says.
During his stay in Germany for the LFP World Challenge Tour, Neville is still getting to know hi show his club is: "We are a team that is improving, with hunger and direction from one of the best Managers in Europe".
With both LaLiga World matches to be played in Valencia in the Colonia Cup, Nuno Espírito Santo’s men will be able top ut an end to the 2015/2016 season. Everything is ready to kick off Liga BBVA on Saturday 22nd August, in Madrid, against Rayo Vallecano.
