The second LFP World Challenge has been confirmed and it will star Sevilla FC, the side who opened the event last season with a tour of South East Asia that took them to Indonesia and Malaysia.
This time, the Sevilla squad will be travelling to Morocco, and thus become the first Spanish club to visit Africa during La Liga World. The current UEFA Europa League champions will play a friendly in the coastal city of Agadir. Their opponents will be Hassania d'Agadir, on 31 May, at 7pm local time (8pm CEST).
The representatives of the Moroccan league are currently in seventh place and have two national titles in their trophy cabinet. They play their home games at Le Grand Stade d'Agadir, one of the most modern stadiums in the country. It was opened in 2013 and can seat around 40,000 people. It will be the first time that Hassania d'Agadir have played a side from La Liga.
Sevilla are hoping to repeat their successes of last year on the post-season tour. In 2014, they travelled in South East Asia between 22 and 28 May in order to play two friendlies, one against Pelita Bandung Raya, who they beat 0-4, and Selangor FA, where they had another 0-2 win.
The La Liga World matches are part of the LFP World Challenge program that started up last season in order to increase the international projection of the image of Spanish football, spread the values of Spain Brand, and of Spanish companies, and create opportunities with side by side cultural and company events.
