RCD Mallorca – CD Lugo (16:00, Iberostar Estadio)
Mallorca, who have racked up three victories on the trot, are looking to maintain their form and extend their streak against a Lugo who just drew 1-1 with Llagostera.
"Nobody wants our run to come to an end, but we know that it is difficult to win three matches on the trot, and four even more so", said Mallorca's manager, Valeri Karpin. For his part, Quique Setién, the coach of the Galician side, said that it will be a "close" and "balanced" match.
FC Barcelona B – R. Sporting (18:00, Estadio Miniestadi)
The Azulgrana reserves, who have just lost 2-0 to CD Tenerife, now face the challenge of becoming the first team in the Liga Adelante to defeat Sporting. For their part, the side from Asturias, will be looking to remain unbeaten and to close in on the lead.
FC Barcelona B's manager, Eusebio Sacristán, was full of praise for his opponents: "They dominate all over the field. When they have to have possession they do so with good judgement". Meanwhile, Abelardo Fernández stated that his players have to be "very focused at the back" and said that it will be key to "get the ball off them” so that they feel "uncomfortable".
D. Alavés – AD Alcorcón (18:00, Mendizorroza)
Alavés, sitting 12th in the table, host an Alcorcón who are 13th and will be hoping to bounce back from two consecutive defeats. The match promises to have a spectacular atmosphere, as the club from Vitoria will be drowning the Mendizorroza in blue and white to celebrate the 90th anniversary of their stadium.
"Being able to see the ground packed with blue and white shirts, for it to be an amazing day of celebration, and that the people enjoy themselves and want to get behind the team… All that is really good for Alavés", said home coach Alberto López. His counterpart in the Alcorcón dugout, José Bordalás, spoke about the morale of his team: "The team has had a tough week, but we've been working to pick our heads up and approach a new match knowing that we all have to give a little more".
UE Llagostera – R. Racing C. (18:15, Nou Municipal de Palamós)
A clash between two teams who only just came up to the Liga Adelante. The sides are coming off the back of a draw with Lugo and Alavés, respectively, and will be looking to get back to winning ways and escape the danger zone.
The manager of the Catalan outfit, Lluís Carrillo, said in a press conference that the match against the Cantabrian side would be very complicated. "We are aware that it will be a very tough, very close match and we'll have to play well". Paco Fernández, Racing's coach, praised his opponent: "They are a team who know how to play, with quality players and they have a good understanding of the concepts of the game".
CE Sabadell – CD Mirandés (20:00, Estadio Nova Creu Alta)
Sabadell, after two defeats on the trot, will be looking to pick themselves up in front of their fans and increase the gap between them and the bottom end of the table. Mirandés are in a similar situation after suffering three straight defeats. They have not won on the road since matchday two.
Miquel Olmo, the Harlequins' coach, revealed that Sabadell "are excited about the match and hope to give the fans something to smile about".
UD Las Palmas – Albacete B. (Estadio de Gran Canaria)
After the draw with SD Ponferradina, Las Palmas saw out the last matchday four points behind the leaders. Therefore, the Canary Islanders will hope to beat an Albacete who need to find a win in order to get out of last place.
The Las Palmas manager, Paco Herrera, stated that his team has a lot of "respect" for Albacete because "they have a solid system". For his part, the coach of the side from La Mancha, Luis César Sampedro, was feeling optimistic: "I'm convinced that, despite all the setbacks, we're going to get out of this situation".
