The #LigaBBVAExperience returned to Seville almost as if it had never left. Just days on from the previous edition, the Andalusian capital once again provided the perfect backdrop for nine LaLiga followers to fulfil a dream. Thanks to this initiative run by LaLiga and its international broadcasters, they got to experience all the emotion and excitement of the greatest competition on the planet at close quarters.
While a week ago Ziad and his son Nader, from Lebanon, were left bewitched by the magic of one of the most beautiful cities in Spain, this time it was the turn of nine fans from Argentina, Brazil, and Trinidad and Tobago. For three days they marvelled at Seville's beauty, before capping the trip in style by watching the match between Real Betis and FC Barcelona live.
As each and every edition shows, the #LigaBBVAExperience is about more than just football: it is sightseeing, history, art and the chance to get to know the local people, all rolled into one. During their three-day stay, our lucky fans absolutely immersed themselves in Seville's culture, discovering the most iconic landmarks, sampling the cuisine and experiencing unforgettable moments together and with other supporters.
Matchday offered the perfect finale for the #LigaBBVAExperience. To build up to the big kick-off, the fans went on a tour of the Benito Villamarin, exploring every inch of this footballing cathedral, from the dressing room where the Betis players change to the presidential box and the trophy room. What's more, they were presented with a diploma recognising them as LaLiga Fan Ambassadors and watched the warm-up from pitchside.
Fully kitted out for the occasion – wearing the Betis shirts and scarves they received in their comprehensive welcome pack – our nine fans lapped up the football played by both teams from the stands of the Benito Villamarin. The atmosphere generated by the home supporters, Charly Musonda's trickery, Neymar's wizardry and Leo Messi's class got them off their seats over and over.
The game ended, but the best was still to come. Afterwards, our special guests had the opportunity to have their photos taken with the Betis players and get their autographs.
The second stop in Seville, just like the first, was a huge hit. The #LigaBBVAExperience continues to make dreams come true – nine of them this time round.
