- The team from Vitoria play in front of their own fans seeking a first win on their return to the top flight. New coach Mauricio Pellegrino said: "The ground is in great condition and we're looking forward to playing the game."

- All eyes will be on captain Manu Garcia, who has scored three of Alaves's last five goals in LaLiga (two in LaLiga 1l2l3 and one in LaLiga Santander). He scored a stunner to earn a 1-1 draw in the last minute away to Atletico Madrid last weekend. 

R. Sporting Form (7th, 3 puntos): 

- Sporting are on a high after winning their opening game against Athletic Club 2-1 at the Molinon.

- The Rojiblancos are unbeaten in their last three clashes with Alaves with two wins and a draw, and have not conceded in those games.
