LALIGA FC26 COMMUNITY CHALLENGE returns on December 9 to CALLAO CITY LIGHTS with a new edition that brings together football legends and top creators.Taking over from LALIGA FC 25 RUSH —LALIGA’s most impactful activation ever with EA SPORTSTM— this new format preserves the iconic duel between streamers and legends, divided into two parts: the first played inside EA SPORTS FC 26 and and a second one, played on a real pitch. This year, the big twist is that every decision during the match will be made by fans in real time, aligning with the game’s new motto: “The Club Is Yours.”

The event will be broadcast on national network DAZN, as well as on DjMariiO’s YouTube channel and LALIGA’s official platforms.
LALIGA FC 26 COMMUNITY CHALLENGE will bring together ten key figures, five top community leaders and five LALIGA CLASSIC XI Team legends, in a unique clash that merges spectacle, immersion and collective participation. Streamers and legends will compete in an evolved format where the audience becomes the driving force: from special rules to key moments. For the firts time, fans will influence the match through live voting on MILIGA, the creators' communities, and LALIGA's official channels. They will decide special rules, in-game actions and key moments of the real-world match.
LALIGA CLASSIC XI TEAM takes to the pitch
This edition introduces another major new feature: the Legends Team will officially compete under the name “LALIGA CLASSIC XI TEAM”, in line with the new feature in Kick Off and Kick Off Rush in EA SPORTS FC 26, which now includes an official squad made up offootball’s most iconic LALIGA legends. Five of these digital legends will be part of the match lineup.
Fans of EA SPORTS FC 26 will relieve some of LALIGA’s greatest moments by fielding iconic players who shaped global football history. Alongside the five participating in the match, other legends such as Zidane, Andrés Iniesta, Xavi Hernández and Ronaldo Nazario will be available in-game available in-game from today, 2nd Dec.
Jorge de la Vega, Managing Director of LALIGA, highlights the event’s significance: “With this edition, we take a decisive step: the community stops watching and becomes the driving force behind the game. LALIGA and EA SPORTS continue breaking boundaries, delivering experiences that connect football and the digital universe, but this year, we’re letting fans take full control. It’s proof that we listen, we evolve, and we build together”.
Following last year’s success, over 2 million online viewers, 73,000 in-person attendees, 91 million organic impressions, and 900 media hits across 39 countries, LALIGA and EA SPORTS are raising the bar, aiming to establish this as the must-attend annual football-entertainment event in Spain.
Choosing a cinema, CALLAO CITY LIGHTS, as the venue reinforces the ambition to blur the lines between football, entertainment and culture. With this new edition and the inclusion of the LALIGA CLASSIC XI TEAM as the official Legends team, both institutions reaffirm their commitment to innovation and to a community that doesn’t just participate: it decides.
