Málaga CF plays host to Getafe CF for matchday 16 of the Liga BBVA, and will be trying make the most of home advantage in order to move away from the relegation zone as quickly as possible.
Well aware of the difficult patch Málaga is currently going through, Bernd Schuster has placed his trust in his player’s quality and experience in order to get the season back on track. "We have to believe in ourselves and learn how to react as quickly as possible so as to reap the benefits of our hard work".
Travelling to the Costa del Sol is a Getafe side Schuster knows very well, and the Madrid outfit will be looking to make amends in La Rosaleda after suffering a heavy defeat to Atlético Madrid in its last game on the road. In order to remain in the hunt for a European place, the visitors will benefit from the return of Lisandro López, but will be without Borja Fernández, Sergio Escudero, Juan Rodríguez and Alberto Lopo.
Getafe coach Luis García is not taking his Andalusian opponents’ recent poor run of form for granted and has demanded full concentration from his men: "We will try to defend well because although Málaga is not enjoying one of its best moments, it is still a very good and powerful side".
