Malaga CF's first LaLiga World match greatly anticipated

The Colombian media packed out the press room for Malaga CF's first meeting in South America. The press conference for the Euro-American cup was attended by Malaga coach Javi Gracia and captain Duda, whilst the Colombians were represented by manager Fernando Castro and the young Colombian international Juan Sebastian Quintero.

In the press conference for the LFP World Challenge match the coach from Navarra said: "We are in the midst of our pre-season preparation and we are happy to be playing a team of the quality of Deportivo Cali. We hope the match will be exciting for the fans whilst at the same time helping both teams to progress in their preparation". This opinion was shared by the local manager Fernando Castro, who stated his team were taking the game "very seriously as if it were a final".

In the afternoon the entire Malaga team and staff could be found on the scene of the LaLiga World event, the Deportivo Cali stadium. The players participated in a tactically focused training session. Midfielder Jose Recio noted "We are aware that our opposition is a quality team and obviously for us this is a good thing. These types of games allow us to test ourselves and see our true level".
