Málaga carry on winning

Málaga CF once again showed their form by winning 0-1 away to Real Sociedad thanks to a second-half goal from Juanmi Jiménez. Javi Gracia’s men continue to climb up the table, while the Basque outfit continue to struggle.

The first-half was hotly disputed, but there were not too many clear efforts on goal. Only David Zurtuza, with a header for the home side, looked to threaten the Málaga goal. Vitorino Antunes, with a free-kick, was the only visiting player capable of testing out Eñaut Zubikarai.

The game did not change much in the second-half. Both sides showed bite in the centre of the park, and the goal did not come until the last 15 minutes of the tie. Juanmi Jiménez took advantage of a ball in behind the defence by Nordin Amrabat to give the visitors their fourth consecutive win in Liga BBVA, and move up the table in the process.
