After announcing the September Liga BBVA and Liga Adelante dream team, LFP.es have selected the best managers in this early stage of the competition in the two divisions.
Luis Enrique, the FC Barcelona boss, was selected in the Liga BBVA. The Asturian manager took the reins of the Azulgranas this summer after a great campaign at RC Celta de Vigo and his adaptation to the dugout at what was his club as a player has been quick and seamless. Under Luis Enrique, the Catalan side end September as leaders of the Liga BBVA, with 16 points and no goals conceded in the first six matchdays of the championship.
Barcelona remain unbeaten at this early stage of the season with five wins and a draw. In September the Azulgranas claimed ten points from a possible twelve, defeating Athletic Club, Levante UD and Granada CF, and drawing away at Málaga CF. Their defensive solidity is complemented by an extraordinary attack and goal-scoring ability, with Luis Enrique's side scoring 13 goals in these four encounters.
Manolo Díaz, the SD Ponferradina boss, has been selected by the LFP.es editorial team to take the reins of the September dream team. The manager from Madrid has steered the Bierzo club to third place in the Liga Adelante with 13 points, just one behind Las Palmas and Valladolid.
September could not have been a better month for Díaz and his side, with Ponferradina claiming three wins in the four matches they held, scoring eight goals and conceding just three. A convincing 4-1 victory over Betis opened a successful run of results for a team that, to cap it all, remains unbeaten at home.
