It was a vibrant encounter between CD Lugo and CA Osasuna on matchday six of the Liga Adelante, in which the Galician side claimed the three points after fighting back to win 4-3.
Intensity and goals were the main features of the first half. Osasuna opened the scoring in the second minute from a corner and a mistake from the Lugo defence which Nino capitalised on. But Quique Setién's side responded with a counter-attack that ended in a goal. After four minutes and two goals, and with the score level, the two teams were hungrier than ever.
The script was repeated just before the break when Manuel Pavón put Lugo in front. Ángel Carro's joy was short-lived, because his action was counteracted once again with a header from Raoul Loé, who sent the ball into the back of the net after a direct free kick from Roberto Torres.
The goal-scoring display continued in the second half and the most exciting moments of the clash came in the final minutes. Nino scored again and put Osasuna in front once more. With the score on 2-3, Lugo fought to fight their way back into the game and claim three vital points at their home ground against one of the strongest sides in the Liga Adelante. First it was Manu Rodríguez who, from a penalty, took the first step towards victory, and when it looked like nothing more could happen, a wily Borja Gómez appeared to finish off a corner and make it 4-3 in the 88th minute.
