Levante UD’s 2-1 win over Granada CF brought the curtain down on matchday 24 of the Liga BBVA in an exciting game. The result gives the home side a little breathing space, after they made a comeback in little over seven minutes.

Both sides were spurred on by necessity, and they went out on the pitch hoping to take points and get out of the relegation zone. However, in the first half, Levante were not strong enough to make the most of opportunities and the Granada went ahead from the penalty spot. Afterwards, Granada defended well and created chances, consequently they reached half-time still in the lead.

In the second-half the game changed unexpectedly. Levante could not find a goal although they were more active, whilst Abel Resino’s men were comfortable with the result and did not wear themselves out too much. Lucas Alcaraz changed things around hoping to find the solution and his side did what they could to draw level. In the end, they found the answer without even creating many chances The goals came from Víctor Camarasa and David Barral, and turned the game around, so the points stayed at the Ciutat de València stadium.
