Levante UD and Getafe CF drew 1-1 in the final game of Liga BBVA matchday 14. The one point apiece means that the side from Valencia are in 15th position with 13 points, while the Madrid team are in 12th with 15.
Chances were scarce in the first half, but it was Getafe who were the most inventive up front. Ángel Lafita, who was back in the strikeforce, had the first clear chance for the Azulones with a shot across the goal that was just wide of the post, while Karim Yoda created more danger with his pace and skills on the right wing.
Yoda cropped up again early in the second half to make it 0-1 in a move that started with Mehdi Lacen recovering the ball and was finished with aplomb by the French player against Diego Mariño. Levante were running out of time, but they dug deep and fought to equalise the clash. Their just deserts came in the 71st minute, when Rafael Martins scored the final goal to make it 1-1, making the most of a pinpoint cross from Nikos to beat Vicente Guaita with his head.
