The Vicente Calderon Stadium today played host to LaLiga's Ordinary General Assembly, which was attended by officials from all its member clubs and public limited sports companies (SADs) except Granada CF and RC Celta, who voted by proxy. LaLiga president Javier Tebas thanked Atletico Madrid for their hospitality and for making the Vicente Calderon available. Following the assembly, all of the representatives from the respective clubs posed for a commemorative photo out on the pitch – the occasion took on extra symbolic significance because the stadium is currently celebrating its 50th anniversary.

During the assembly, Javier Gomez, LaLiga's corporate managing director, presented the financial report, accounts and variance analysis for the revenue and expenditure budget for the 2015/16 season, drawn up by the LaLiga Delegate Commission under the provisions of section K) of article 30 of the Articles of Association. After the presentation, a vote was held and the documents were approved.

Voting was also held on the draft revenue and expenditure budget for the 2016/17 season, which was similarly prepared by the Delegate Commission in accordance with section K) of article 30 of the Articles of Association. This vote was also approved.

Finally, the LaLiga clubs and SADs approved the president's salary, in accordance with article 32 of the Articles of Association.

Following on from the Ordinary General Assembly, a combined meeting for Primera and Segunda Division sides was held to elect the clubs which will make up LaLiga's Control Body for the Administration of Audiovisual Rights, in accordance with article 7.2 of the Royal Decree-Law 5/2015. The clubs voted in were Atletico Madrid and D. Alaves from Primera and CD Numancia from Segunda.
