This Monday saw LaLiga and the Uruguayan Football Association (AUF) come together to stage a training day on legal issues and stadium security in Montevideo (Uruguay). Alfredo Lorenzo,LaLiga's director of integrity and security and Miguel Garcia Caba, head of LaLiga's in-house legal department, took part in a session which was attended by members of the AUF's executive board and its Security Commission, as well as representatives from the executive board of the Uruguayan top flight and heads and coordinators of security from the association's affiliated clubs.

The aim of the event was to enable LaLiga to explain the legal and organisational framework under which they operate and to share information relating to the security measures which have been introduced into the professional game in Spain. The day offered an opportunity for LaLiga to share their experiences with the AUF on legal issues and aspects relating to security and integrity.

Following the closure of the event, LaLiga representatives held a meeting with Amin Niffouri, a member of the Sports Commission at the Uruguayan parliament, which meets at Montevideo's Legislative Palace. Also in attendance at the meeting was the AUF's secretary general Andrea Lanfranco. The session saw the Spanish authorities share details of the measures introduced to stamp out violence at sporting events in Spain.
