Málaga CF are now counting down the hours to their second LFP World Challenge Tour match in South America. The directors of both sides got together at a dinner which was also attended by representatives of LaLiga, DirecTV and Fénix Entertainment Group, the match promoter.
The event took place in a well known restaurant in the Palermo neighbourhood of Buenos Aires, tasting the cooking which is typical of the area. Those present were able to share their opinions regarding the contest to lift the Copa Euroamericana, the second of LaLiga World in South America with the side from the Costa del Sol. There was also the chance to exchange various match souvenirs in order to underline the good relationships between LaLiga, the teams and the local promoter.
José Luis Astiazarán, ambassador for LaLiga and the LFP World Challenge project, highlighted that “we’re trying to grow even closer to Argentina in order to develop the project which we have put in place.”
The representation of Malaga CF was led by Vicente Casado, Managing Director of the institution, and Francisco Martín, Chief Executive Officer. The latter underlined the fact that “Being given the chance by LaLiga to be here and take part in this cup fills us with pride and satisfaction”.
Roberto Álvarez, second vice-president of San Lorenzo de Almagro, also wanted to thank Málaga CF and LaLiga for coming to Buenos Aires: “It’s a great pleasure for an institution like San Lorenzo de Almagro to welcome a Spanish team to the Nuevo Gasómetro”.
