Matchday 29 in the Liga BBVA left us some beautiful goals, a string of impressive saves and countless other great memories. On top of that, it also left us the LaLiga Fantasy Starting XI which, thanks to official LaLiga official statistics, highlights who the best Liga BBVA players were last weekend.
The MVP award undoubtedly went to FC Barcelona's Lionel Messi. The Argentine's impressive performance against Getafe CF, which he capped with a goal and three assists, saw the striker bag 28 points, 10 more than the player in second place.
RC Celta keeper Sergio Alvarez takes his place between the posts, on the back of a clean sheet and a string of world-class saves against Real Sociedad. Three players make up the defence: Eneko Boveda, Levante's Juanfran and Atletico Madrid's Filipe Luis. Meanwhile, Koke, Roberto Trashorras, Verza and Arda Turan partner up in midfield, behind MVP Messi, his club teammate Neymar and Celta's Nolito.
Barcelona lead the way with three players in the LaLiga Fantasy Starting XI, followed by Celta, Atlético and Levante with two, and Athletic Club and Rayo Vallecano with a player each.
