Another thrilling LaLiga Santander matchday came to a close last night, so now it's time to look at the Matchday Best XI from this round of fixtures.

The goalkeeper in this team is R. Valladolid CF's Jordi Masip. The 29-year-old helped his side to victory after saving a penalty and keeping a clean sheet in their match against Villarreal CF. These efforts were enough to score him 17 points, which makes him the Player of the Matchday.

Alongside the aforementioned Masip, this side features two other R. Valladolid players in defence: Javi Moyano and Fernando Calero, who scored 11 and 12 points respectively. The other two members of this back line are Atletico Madrid's Jose Gimenez and Athletic Club's Oscar de Marcos, who collected 12 and 11 points respectively. Last but not least, the lone striker in this XI is Sevilla star Andre Silva, who collected 10 points. The Portuguese hitman, who is currently topping the LaLiga scoring charts, found the net for the seventh time this season with a brilliant backheel goal.
