With the latest round of LaLiga Santander fixtures all done and dusted, it's now time to take stock and reveal the LaLiga Fantasy MARCA Matchday 34 Best XI. On this occasion, the Player of the Matchday accolade goes to CD Leganes defender Dimitrios Siovas, with his 17-point display enough to make him the standout performer in a side that chalked up an impressive 167 points.
The best-represented club in this matchday's star-studded lineup are Real Madrid, with no less than three Madridistas making the cut: James, Isco and Alvaro Morata.
Taking his place between the sticks is Villarreal CF custodian Andres Fernandez, who pulled off a string of fine saves in his side's victory at the Calderon en route to picking up 14 points. His Yellow Submarine teammate, Alvaro Gonzalez (14) features alongside FC Barcelona's Javier Mascherano (13) and the aforementioned Siovas to form a solid-looking three-man backline.
The Best XI midfield is once again simply bursting with attacking talent. Key contributions from Isco, who scored once, and James, who struck a brace, in Madrid's romp over RC Deportivo saw them secure 17 points apiece and their spots in a midfield quartet that oozes creative flair. Accompanying the Los Blancos duo in the middle third are Barça's Andre Gomes (14), who was at the double against CA Osasuna, and Sevilla FC's Joaquin Correa, whose impressive performance against RC Celta, which included a dazzling run and finish, earned him 13 points.
On this occasion, the team's strikeforce is made up of three sharpshooters who all turned in 16-point showings: Luciano (Leganes), Sandro (Malaga CF) and Morata. The trio sealed their places in the lineup after playing instrumental roles in edging their sides towards their end-of-season targets.
