After another fascinating set of LaLiga Santander fixtures, it is time to take stock and reveal the LaLiga Fantasy MARCA Matchday 27 Best XI. On this occasion the Player of the Matchday honours go to D. Alaves defender Victor Laguardia, who outshone the rest of the division with his 16-point showing.
Ivan Cuellar keeps his place as the Best XI custodian, having earned 12 points in the process of helping R. Sporting take a share of the spoils at Mestalla, always a tough place for away teams to play. Ahead of the goalkeeper is a four-man backline consisting of the aforementioned Laguardia, plus Sergio Ramos (15 points), who saved Real Madrid's blushes once again with another crucial goal; Mauricio Lemos (14), who found the net twice in UD Las Palmas's loss to RCD Espanyol; and Filipe Luis (13), who put in an assured performance in Atletico Madrid's tight win at Granada CF.
Three classy midfielders who know where the goal is join forces across the middle of the park: Athletic Club's Raul Garcia (15 points), RC Deportivo's Alex Bergantiños (14) and Espanyol's Jose Manuel Jurado (12). Last but not least, Pericos strike duo Gerard Moreno (13) and Pablo Piatti (12) are joined by Athletic's Iñaki Williams (also 12) in attack.
