As ever, the 11th round of LaLiga Santander action served up more than its fair share of memorable moments, excitement and great goals, not to mention some superb individual displays from the players who make up the LaLiga Fantasy MARCA Matchday 11 Best XI.
The Player of the Matchday was Real Madrid's Gareth Bale. The Welshman was the undisputed star of the show during his team's 3-0 derby win over CD Leganes, scoring twice and amassing 17 points, more than any other player this past weekend.
Taking his place between the sticks in our Best XI is UD Las Palmas's Raul Lizoain. The local lad made four saves en route to keeping a clean sheet in his side's victory over SD Eibar, chalking up 11 points in the process. Meanwhile, the defence in front of him consists of RC Celta's Facundo Roncaglia (13 points), another Las Palmas man in Pedro Bigas (12) and D. Alaves's Zouhair Feddal (also 12).
Once again, all four members of our dream-team midfield found the net this past matchday. Jonathan Viera joins his Las Palmas teammates in the Best XI, havingnotched 15 points for his performance against Eibar – his coolly taken penalty was the only goal of the game. Manu Trigueros (13) and Roberto Soriano (12) both smashed home screamers in Villarreal CF's triumph over Real Betis, while Vitolo (11) broke the deadlock in Sevilla FC's 2-1 defeat to FC Barcelona.
Partnering Bale up front is 15-point Lionel Messi, who netted the equaliser for Barça against Sevilla, and Carlos Vela (14), who was on the scoresheet as Real Sociedad overcame Atletico Madrid 2-0.
