As part of its football coach training programme in China, four of LaLiga's Spanish coaches have been training over 120 school football coaches and PE teachers in the city of Chongqing since Monday 25 July. The course, which lasts for four days, was organised in collaboration with the China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE), which forms part of the Chinese Ministry of Education. It consists of a theory component taught in classrooms and another practical component.

The aim of the course is to help the coaches increase schoolchildren's interest in football, as well as to improve their technical and tactical training methods. The course forms part of LaLiga's training project in China, through which over 40 Spanish coaches have offered courses at schools across the country since November 2015 thanks to an agreement between LaLiga, the Chinese Ministry of Education and the CEAIE.
The inauguration of the course was attended by the head of Chongqing's Tong Liang district council, Zhang Hongwei; the head of the CEAIE project, Jin Lei; the head of the Department of Art, Sport and Health of the Chongqing Bureau of Education, Li Bin; the head of the Department of International Affairs of the Chongqing Bureau of Education, Jiang Yan; and LaLiga's director of sports programmes in China, Zhang Le.
These workshops provide an example of the internationalisation process which LaLiga is pursuing, as well as the importance given to grassroots training by the Spanish institution.
