On Friday 4 November, Alfredo Lorenzo, LaLiga's director of integrity and security kicked off the integrity workshops that all CCT members will take part in. Over the coming months, LaLiga will hold a workshop for every single one of Spain's 17 regional CCT delegations.
LaLiga and the CCT will work together to safeguard the security and integrity of Spanish football, fight fraudulent sports betting and match-fixing, as well as assess risks to competition, all topics that will be addressed in the workshops hosted by LaLiga.
The first workshop took place on Friday in Antequera, Malaga, for the member clubs - captains and executives - of the Andalusian Delegation of Tercera Division Clubs. The main topic of the day was unacceptable behaviour for footballers and executives.
A Code of Best Conduct, a set of rules and principles aimed at federations, leagues and Spanish footballers, was also handed out at the workshop to give the regional delegations a set of fundamental rules to be followed to make the sport completely fair and transparent.
This initiative is yet another step in LaLiga's battle against football violence and in favour of good sporting practices, and it joins the workshops that LaLiga already hosts for LaLiga Santander, LaLiga 1l2l3 and Liga Iberdrola clubs.
