Atlético Madrid make their way to La Rosaleda in order to try and prolong their good run of form against Málaga CF on matchday 31 of the Liga BBVA. Diego Pablo Simeone’s players have moved to third in the table, following a four-game streak made up of three wins and draw all while not conceding a single goal. Meanwhile, the Andalusians are seventh and will be looking to get back to winning ways having failed to pick a victory in any of their last three outings.
Team news
Javi Gracia will still have to make do without the injured Roberto Chen and Ignacio Camacho. For Atlético, Simeone will have to work around the absences of Cristian Ansaldi, Mario Mandžukić and Raúl García, all of whom are injured. However, the Argentine coach welcomes back Diego Godín and Juanfran Torres, following their midweek suspensions.
Views from the dugouts
The Málaga boss, Javi Gracia, has a clear idea of what his players will be faced with: "We know we are up against a very solid team that are dangerous with dead ball situations, although we haven’t done too badly in our matches against sides from the top half of the table". Meanwhile, his counterpart, Diego Pablo Simeone, spoke about Saturday’s opponents: "They are an extremely attacking side and play with a lot of nerve and bravery".
